Matt says: "Carmine is just my favorite drummer along with Paicey and Bonzo...he's just pure legend to me. Mr. Shortino is one of my favourite singers ever....I love his bluesy, soulful, also powerful voice. Of course it's great to have these guys on another song of mine.." The

Matt Filippini is going to play a special show in Gallarate (Italy) as support guest for TWIN DRAGONS (featuring Tony Martin-former Black Sabbath singer & Clive Bunker-former Jethro Tull drummer). Matt will play with his live band (Enrico Sarzi-vox, Nik Mazzucconi-bass, Alex Mori-drums) & the set list also will feauture a bunch of songs from the upcoming Moonstone cd!! A special occasion to get a taste of this long awaited album! If you can, do not miss it!! ::JUL04 Eric Bloom on Moonstone:: Eric Bloom. legendary lead singer of Blue Oyster Cult, will appear on the Moonstone Project!!! He sings on the song "On The Way To Moonstone". ::JUN04 Glenn Hughes & Kelly Keeling:: Glenn Hughes does it again!! The "Voice Of Rock" will sing on "Where Did You Hide The Blues You've Got", a bluesy & emotional song which also features Ian Paice on drums. Brilliant;-) Another special guest is Kelly Keeling. Kelly is a great singer who worked with John Norum, Don Dokken, Michael Shenker, Stuarth Smith, Erik Norlander, George Lynch, Carmine Appice & many others. He sings on "Slave Of Time", a straight rocker with a southern feel. Other guests announced soon. The recording sessions will continue until first days of July. Keep on rockin'! ::MAR04 Graham Bonnet & Howie Simon on Moonstone:: "Not Dead Yet" is the title of the song Graham Bonnet will put vocals on in the next few days. The song is an up-tempo rocker and also will feature a guest appearance of the guitarist Howie Simon. Matteo had a brief meeting with Glenn Hughes during his last visit to Italy with Hughes/Turner Project. Matteo says: "It was a great emotion for me when Glenn said he enjoed singing my song, Rose In Hell....he's a sweet guy and an amazing singer & musician....". which also guests Ian Paice on it! Brilliant! ::DEC03 Paice & Hughes together again:: Glenn Hughes recorded one Moonstone song in his studio. The track is called "Rose In Hell" and is a mid-tempo rocker with a great vocal performance, courtesy of Mr. Hughes and an amazing drumming-Paicey rocks! Hughes & Paicey together in a song after almost 30 years!!! Cool! ::OCT03 Session start with Paicey - Hughes confirmed:: Ian Paice recorded on Oct 10 three songs for the Moonstone Project. Matt is very happy with the result of sessions. There're no definitive titles at the moment for the songs Ian has recorded though there're an hard rock shuffle, a rocker mid-tempo and a blues song. It's
confirmed!!! The last few days of November, legendary Glenn Hughes
will record one Moonstone song in his studio in California. |
