"Hi Guys!

Unforgettable September....

I spent the last few days with a legend...Mr. Ian Paice...in Italy to record 2 new songs for me, "One Dollar Baby" and "Halfway To Heaven"...these tracks will appear on the 2nd Moonstone Project...it's strange I started recording a new cd even if the 1st album hasn't been released yet, isn't it? Yeah...but I decided to take advantage of Ian's free time, before he starts to tour with Deep Purple!!

The sessions went really well, with Ian embellishing my songs with his unique style..also he used the original cowbell from the "Burn" sessions in 1973..amazing! I co-wrote these songs with keyboard player & friend Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge Of Forever), who's working on some other ideas of mine....

The day after the sessions, on Sept 22nd, I played a show with Paicey...packed house with 700 screaming guys, great feel on stage, 2 encores, beers...lot of fun!

My manager Honey Bianchi came from London, expecially for this gig ... we had a really long business meeting the day after the show. Some exciting things are going to happen. Hope to announce soon the definitive release date for "Time To Take A Stand"!

Matt will be playing a show with Ian Paice in Italy, next September. The band will be Ian & Matt, plus hammond wizard Gianluca Tagliavini and bass player Nik Mazzucconi (both appearing on the Moonstone Project upcoming cd). Very special guest will be singer Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth)! The concert will take place on September 22, in Cermenate (Como) @ Black Horse. More details to follow...

The long awaited Moonstone cd is scheduled for official release next year. In the next few weeks we really hope to reveal you more....first sessions for a second album are tentatively scheduled for next September...stay tuned....
